We like to think of curriculum having 3 gears:

  • Selection of knowledge and skills to be imparted
  • Designing experiences to allow transfer of knowledge and skills
  • Creating  platforms for these knowledge and skills to be applied and adapted

Learning does not have to be linear, it doesn't need to have a prescribed 'fail-safe' route. If fact, some of the best learning experiences are gained through discovery, attempting, failing, reflecting and adapting.
